In Canada we have many rights and freedoms. Some of these rights do not exist in other countries and some feel the existing rights and freedoms in Canada need to be improved. What Rights and Freedoms are of a concern to you in Canada or Globally? Add your responces here and comment on the responces of other students.

I think that this is a very good slidehsow on Children's right. Children deserve more rights than they get in some countries. When people are in their youth, they deserve to have no cares and to experiance everything a child can't do when they are older. They do not deserve to be working, abused or used as slaves. Unfortuantely, some countries do this which is completely unfair to the children involved. They are wasting away some of the great years of their lives because they are being forced to work and do manual labour. I think that the whole idea of that happening is completely wrong.

Mine was on youth voting

I agree with Mackenzie's opinion on Youth Voting. Youth should be able to vote on issues that they are interested in, expecially because they are exposed to it through school. Many students know what is going on in politics and care, however, some students could not care less. This is why youth should have the option to vote. They can choose to take the election seriously and take part in it, or they can choose to not show their opinion by not voting. So I believe that the Voting Age should be lowered so more youth can get a say in their countries decisions.

My presentation is on Wrongful Conviction. I believe that it is very unfair for people to be wrongfully convicted for something they never did. They go to jail and waste away part of their lives for doing nothing to get there.
